Aspire Leadership Program FAQ's

  • When does the program begin?
The program begins the first week in March 2023 and will complete by the end of October. The registration deadline is February 15, 2023.
  • How many people are in the program?
There are a maximum of 25 people per cohort.
  • What's the time commitment?
The time commitment is 1-2 hours per week. There are bi-weekly 90 minute group sessions followed by light coursework in between. Participants who have been most successful have put in the time required. You get out of the program what you put into it.
  • Is the program virtual or in person?
The Aspire Program is virtual. We do offer an optional in person module in the US and in the UK at the end of the program. Participants are welcome to attend the optional in person session in either location at their own expense. The (2) 2023 sessions will be held in Greater Washington, D.C. and London, England.
  • How long does the program last?
The program is six months in duration and runs bi-weekly. The program will run slightly longer than six months because of holidays, any scheduling conflicts and extra-time for coursework. If you require specific dates, please contact one of our program consultants who can talk you through the options.
  • What if I miss are session, are they recorded?
Every session is recorded and uploaded to our secure portal for program participants to review. The recordings should not be used in lieu of attending sessions as much of the richness is in working with other participants and the small-breakout format that is used during the session. However, we do understand that participants may not always be able to attend and are flexible in offering alternatives.
  • Can you explain what I get if I join the program? What are the components?
There are 4 components of the program: Leadership Assessment and Debrief - At the beginning of the program, each participant takes a 360 degree leadership assessment. First, you take a self assessment and then you can invite up to 12 people to provide anonymous feedback. It is best to select people more senior than you, people who are your peers and people who are more junior to get a full picture. It is possible to only do a self assessment (there is not a price difference). The assessment is a simple multiple choice and sliding scale format that takes 15-20 minutes to complete. You submit your participant emails on our secure portal and we send out the assessment. You should always make the people that you nominate aware that they will receive the assessment. We will provide the language for you in your welcome pack. At the end you will receive a report that we will debrief with you. This will form the basis of your personal development plan. Personal Development Plan - Your assessment report will form the basis of your personal development plan. We provide a template and will work with you to set goals, objectives and measures that you can use to chart your progress. Group Coursework Sessions - There are bi-weekly 90 minute group sessions for the duration of the program (six months). There is published curriculum that we adjust according the collective needs of the cohort. We often shape the final schedule based upon the themes that emerge from the group's leadership assessment. There is light coursework in between sessions and we do some small breakout group formats to enable you to get to know and learn from other cohort members. Individual Coaching Sessions - Each cohort member gets (2) 45 minute coaching sessions to be used at the time of your choosing during the six months of the program. This is in addition to the one hour debrief that is aligned to the leadership assessment. Your personal development plan should be used as a framework for your coaching sessions.
  • Why Aspire instead of other programs that are out there?
Plain and simple, we produce results. Aspire has a great mix of coaches, facilitators and business leaders who are your mentors, sponsors and partners during and after the program. Our guest speakers are titans of industry and you get the opportunity to ask the questions you've always wanted to! We are fully invested in the success of each member of our community for as long as they choose to engage. We are thoughtful about our cohorts to ensure the best possible experience. While there is tremendous value in the content, there is even more value in the peer leader relationships that you build during the program. This program is not only about transforming your leadership, it's about shaping a community of leaders who are connected, dynamic change makers.
  • How do I know if the content and curriculum is right for me?
In our experience, leaders with between ten and fifteen years experience get the most out of the program. We will consider people with less experience as long as they can demonstrate a reasonable understanding of business operations and leadership. We describe Aspire as part leadership transformation program, part Master's program and part community building. We've worked with thousands of leaders around the world and have developed a curriculum that speaks to the needs of both emerging and established leaders. We have a track for people managers and a track for individual contributors, The program is designed to help you shortcut the pitfalls of navigating organizational politics and provides you with the tools and frameworks to position you for bigger opportunities including greater visibility, promotion and more income.
